Week 6 The boys are back in town! The PLL hits Dallas.

The PLL regular season is back, which is great because just one game during the Allstar weekend isn't enough lacrosse. We're back! Also this week's rosters have a few major shake ups.

  • Grant Ameny is back again and hopefully he stays healthy for the rest of the season.

  • No Jared Conners (LSM) this week, which means Cam Wyers (D) makes his PLL debut for the Archers.

  • The rest of the Archers's roster looks the same as last game.

  • How will Siss handle the faceoff pressure from the Waterdogs? Will the Archers 32 seconds offense still be at the top of the league when triple 0s hit the clock at the end of the game?

  • Koby Smith is back for the second week in a row, last game even number 0 couldn't save the Atlas.

  • Coach Pressler goes with three SSDMs this week, which means Peter Dearth gets dropped from the game week roster.

  • Last week the Atlas had Drake Porter in cage for the full game, but still couldn't get the win. Tough look for the Bulls.

  • Coach Pressler brings in some extra firepower adding another midfielder to the roster with both Guterding and Curry dropping in and O'Rouke dropping out.

  • Will the added firepower help the Atlas get back in the win column? Can the Atlas finally take advantage of Trevor Baptiste's dominance at the faceoff spot? No Connor Farrell for the Chrome this week, the number of faceoff men keeps dropping...

  • Can they get the lefty two man game to produce?

  • Who starts in between the pipes? Drake or Jack?

  • The Cannons are booming, 3-2 after five games and they don't look like they're slowing down. They've found a formula that's working and Coach Holman and crew look to be improving each game.

  • Ol' Man Hartzell is out this week and CVR is in this week. The rest of the rooster is the same as last game.

  • Another week without a faceoff specialist for the Boom Squad. How will they fair against TD Irelan and the Redwoods?

  • Colin Kirst has played well between the pipes for the Cannons.

  • Errrrr, the Chaos look the same this game as the last game, which makes sense because they won. If it ain't broke don't fix it, right? I've heard that somewhere from someone or somethin'.

  • Chase Fraser and Chris Cloutier , the 'Lax office of C&C' miss out for the second weekend in a row after returning from winning an NLL Championship with the Buffalo Bandits.

  • Battle of rookie faceoff men at the spot and oh yeah, and Blaze is still balling in cage.

  • The battle of the first two PLL champs.

  • The Milk Man misses out this weekend, no Connor Farrell at the faceoff spot. Coach Soudan and his staff made a tough choice, like a few other coaches in the PLL this season.

  • Coach Soudan ops for more offensive fire power this weekend after only scoring 6 goals last game against the Cannons.

  • Mike Messenger misses out this game, while the other 3 SSDMs from this season are on the roster.

  • On the offensive side of the field, there are some shake ups. No Nicthern or Molloy at attack, in comes Heacock, Ferrara and MacIntosh. Will this boost be enough to get a win for the Chrome?

  • Mike Manley is listed as doubtful this game, but the Chrome bring in Troy Hettinger as a sixth pole.

  • After ANOTHER game where the Redwoods scored THREE GOALS, they have made a couple major changes. And if we're being honest THREE GOALS in a professional outdoor lacrosse game deserves a shake up. This was tough to see as a Redwoods supporter, really tough actually... it's still Roll 'Woods till the end.

  • Myles Jones is on the reserve roster and if we're being honest he's not the only midfielder who could have been sidelined after a poor start this season. Hate to see it for MJ15, he'll bounce back though, new dad strength!

  • Sergio Perkovic is listed as a SSDM this week and Nakeie is listed a midfielder. Coach Nat also brought in Kevin Rogers a former Chrome midfielder as a free agent. Rookie Cole Kirst drops in and Anthony Demaio drops out.

  • Still no Grant Owen as he's injured so the same poles as last game for Redwoods defense that still only gave up an admirable 10 goals in a tough loss.

  • Another weekly roster and would you look at that, no faceoff specialist. This isn't surprising the Waterdogs we're the trend setter for this new movement and it's helped them get to second place, so why change?

  • The Dawgs are still rockin the four SSDM look and they add an extra offensive midfielder. No Connor Kelly as he's still getting back to 100%. But the return of Ryan Conrad and a small detail Jake Carraway is now listed as a midfielder not an attackman.

  • Big news in cage as there is no Dillon Ward this week, he's out on paternity leave, congrats to him and the misses! Matt DeLuca has done well in cage for the Dawgs in Ward's absence this season, 55 save percentage with a 10.1 scores against agverage (SAA).

  • The Whips have been bitten hard by the injury bug this season. Well really it's more like the injury blood sucking vampire. Coach Stagnita just can't win. Last week he was missing his all-world LSM in Michael Ehrhardt and all-pro defenseman in Matt Dunn. Before that he was missing his MVP attackman Matt Rambo, all while missing his all-star midfielder and faceoff specialist in Brad Smith and Joe Nardelaa respectively... that a lot of 'all-something' missing from the field. Now to make matters worse the Whipsnakes and coach Stagnita are without all-star goalie Kyle Bernlohr for a considerable amount of time with a dislocated elbow. It make you almost feel sorry for the Whipsnakes... almost.

  • Brad Smith is back on offense and so are Ehrhardt and Dunn on defense. So, it's not all doom and gloom for the Whips. They are however in last place at 1-4 their worst record ever and have a tough challenge in front of them with the Chaos.

  • Roman Puglise is back at SSDM, while rookie Garret Leadmon drops to the reserve roster.

  • Who starts in cage for the Whips? My money is on Brian Phipps who has played well in spots during his time with the Whipsnakes.

It's EXTRA HOT across the US this weekend so it's a good thing the teams are playing indoors at the Star in Frisco this weekend. Will the roster shake up's have a positive effect this weekend? *shrugs shoulders like disinterested teen* maybe, who the heck knows. All I do know is that there will be jaw dropping plays come Saturday and Sunday.
