The PLL rolls into the city that Benjamin Franklin built, or Dr J, or Allen Iverson maybe none of them, but whoever built it the PLL and their supports will be there. Week 3 of PLL action has three teams (Redwoods, Waterdogs, and Whipsnakes) all looking to get their first win of the season. Some rookies who have not made an appearance yet, will get the chance this weekend for the Philadelphia Waterdogs' Homecoming Weekend.

The Atlas are at the top of the hill and it don't look like anyone is capable of pushing them down. Only one change for the Bulls, Bryan Costabile is back after sustaining an injury in week 1 and missing week 2. Reid Bowering drops to the protected roster after not registering a point last week. Is this the week we see Liam Entenmann in goal, Tim Troutner was 44.4% in cage last week in the win against the Chaos. If you change the dynamic of the team, you never know how things will shake out.

The Archers had the meltdown of all meltdowns last weekend in Charlotte against the new look Denver Outlaws. The Archers led 14-7 at the start of the 4th quarter and lost 18-17 in overtime. They will be hoping for a better outcome this time around, BTW 93.9% of fans on the PLL app said the Archers would get the win, number 1 overall pick Brennan O'Neill had something to say about that. The Archers make one change in comes Troy Hettinger, out goes Colby Barsz. Third game, third defensive lineup for the Archers will this one be better than the last? The Archers defense is still working out the kinks, McMahon, Conners, and Hossack missing presence is felt without a doubt. The Archers offense is still firing away, and Grant Ament and Ryan Ambler are back home in Philly. Week 1 the Archers almost got bit by the Waterdogs, but got over the fence just in time. Week 2 they ran from the Outlaws, but they couldn't run fast enough just like RICKY. Will they escape the Chaos in week 3, or will they even get the chance to be the chased.

The Cannons picked up the victory last week against the Whipsnakes, Marcus Holman and Asher Nolting were on one! Only one change for the Boom Squad, JD Colarusso comes in for Adam Ghitelman. A bit of Boston vs Philadelphia rivalary to start the weekend, the battle of the angry east coast cities.

The Chaos went 1-1 during their homecoming weekend a win versus the Redwoods and a loss to the Atlas. The defense is the same, in the second game CJ Costabile dropped out and Ryan Mcnulty dropped in. The other roster change sees rookie midfielder Eric Dobson get his season debut. Awful jersey number from Dobson, he goes from 8 in college to 66 in the pros. Will Blaze be back in cage, Austin Kaut went 61% and 50% in the two games, nothing to laugh at from the former Nittnay Lion.

The Redwoods are looking for their first win of the season against the Atlas who are 3-0. A few roster changes the 'Woods, Chris Gray and Chris Conlin come in to push the number of Chrises to four for the Redwoods. That's a lot of Chrises. Romar Dennis and Ryan Kennedy drop off the roster. The Redwoods had moments of brilliance and droughts like the Sahara on offense. The addition of Chris Gray might be the thing to pour a consistent life line into the Redwoods O. The battle at the faceoff dot between TD and Trevor will be a match up to watch all game long.

The Waterdogs return after an early season bye week, now they're back for their homecoming weekend for a double header in the city of Brotherly Love. Last time we saw the Dawgs Chris Sabia had ice on his leg and Brett Dobson was making back to back game winning saves. Rookie defenseman Marcus Hudgins gets his season debut in week 3. Still no faceoff specialist for the Waterdogs will they regret this choice after their two games this weekend, or will the extra midfielder be a crucial piece in their two games.

The Whipsnakes are 0-2 to start the season, could they end the weekend 0-3, that certainly isn't out of the realm of possibilities. The Whipsnakes add Ryan Kennedy, Jack Koras, and, Kevin Winkoff, while Stephen Zupicich, Wheaton Jackoboice, and Keegan Khan were removed. Still no Elijah Gash, sure would like to know why he isn't on the roster. Something isn't working for the Whipsnakes, I wouldn't be hitting the panic button yet, but I would make sure I know where it is for now.
