NO KOBY SMITH AGAIN! Week number 3 of asking for Koby Smith to play in and Atlas jersey.
Danny Logan is back for the Atlas after they picked up a razor thin victory against the Whipsnakes in Charlotte without the SSDM of the year. The Atlas looks the same this week as they did last week with the exception of Logan in and Comizio out.
The Atlas offense still has Stephen Reffuss waiting in the wings as the former Syracuse Orange has yet to step on the field for his new team after being released by the Cannons. The natural switch is O'Rourke out and Rehfuss in. O'Rouke is the only Atlas offensive player with less than 3 points.
Gavin Adler showed out last week in a tough matchup against Zed Williams. Now he will face Michael Sowers or Kieran McArdle, both are no slouches.

Waterdogs have some new faces dropped into their lineup this week. Rookies Chris Fake and Jeff Conner make their debuts while Christian Scarpello is back in the lineup after missing last week.
No Alex Mazzone, Ryan Conrad, Jack Hannah, and Jake Higgins, this week for the Dawgs.
The 1-1 Waterdogs lost to the Redwoods last week after have a 6 goals lead in the first quarter and only scored 3 goals through three quarters.
The Waterdogs have not scored double digit goals so far this season, tallies of 8 and 9. They're still looking to unlock that side of the ball. Getting the ball more might help; the Waterdogs are facing off at 39% as a team split between rookie James Reilly and 2nd year man Zac Tucci through two games. Reilly will likely have a rough day up against reining MVP Trevor Baptiste.
Dillon Ward has another week away from the NLL and another one back in the PLL, so does he start in cage or do we see Matt DeLuca for a third week in a row. DeLuca is at 58% in cage through two games, no numbers to turn your nose up at for a keeper.

Two new faces for the Cannons defense, player pool pick up Cade van Raaphorst and Max Wayne who will finally make his PLL debut after being drafted by the Atlas in the third round during the 2022 college draft. The Cannons defense was a bit of a revolving door last season and it's starting to look like that again through three games this year.
The Cannons are tied for last in the league as a team in faceoff percentage at 39 while Stephen Kelly is at 43.4%. If Kelly has another below average week maybe Jakob Phaup will make his first appearance for the Cannons.
The Cannons offense has the most 2-point goals at three, no other team has more than one. If the Cannons can continue scoring you feel like they must get a victory at some point.

No Colin Heacock this week, which is bit of a surprise, but Dylan Molloy is back with his cleats from the mid 2000s. Heacock only has 1 point through the first two games, Jordan MacIntosh has no points so far this season, but it's a hard choice to remove a team captain from the lineup.
Jesse Bernhardt is away on paternity leave, which means Nick Grill will bump down to close defense and the Chrome bring in rookie Troy Hettinger from Jacksonville University to make his PLL debut.
The Chrome are still the only team to dress four designated SSDMs each of the first two weeks and week 3 is no different. Mike Messenger has played a few shifts on offense, which isn't surprising considering his box lacrosse background.
Jackson Morrill is BALLIN' 10 points on 66% shooting while ZERO turnovers. Early season MVP leader?? Maybe. Those are elite numbers!
Will Chrome get another victory, or will the Cannons get their first dub of the season? Tune in at 8:30 pm Friday on ESPN+.

The 'Aos Boys look a little different this week, Chris Cloutier, Chase Fraser, Mike Adler, and Cj Costabile are all out. Dhane Smith, Johnny Surdick, Austin Kaut, and Kevin Lindsey are all in.
The Chaos defense has been solid through two weeks, but Coach Towers switched it up and you felt like it was inevitable to see former top defenseman Johnny Surdick, the question was just which pole was going to be the odd man out. This week it's Old Man Costabile, next game it might be someone else.
The new pieces on offense will be interesting Kevin Lindsey is making his PLL debut after being draft last season and not dressing for the Chaos. NLL Finals MVP Dhane Smith is back after a crazy few weeks.
Battle of the star rookie faceoff men as Jack Rowlett at 60% and Mike Sisselberger at 66% will meet at the faceoff spot at high noon on Saturday.
Also, a battle of goalies who will represent their nations next week in San Diego. Blaze is balling as usual with 64% in cage and Brett Dobson is at 65% in his first outdoor pro season as a starter.
The Chaos have Ian MacKay the lone former Archer on the Chaos roster.

Grant Ament is back and for his return he has to face Jack Rowlett one of the tougher matchups for him in the league.
This game has more than a few former Chaos/Archers players. Max O'Keefe, Connor Fields, and Challen Rogers are all former Chaos players. Bit of a revenge game for those guys.
The Archers a looking to go 3-0, but it will be a tough matchup. Archers look like the most complete team so far this season and they may have gotten better with the return of Grant and the addition of Challen.

The rookies are here! *bangs drum* The rookies are here! I hope you all got that Muhammad Ali reference, if not look it up. Brian Tevlin and Owen Grant finally step on the field for the 'Woods.
Charlie Bertrand makes his return to the team after missing last week with an injury.
Ryan Lee has yet to appear on a roster, but Eli McLaughlin is on the reserve roster after the end of the NLL season.
Chris Merle, Ryan Kennedy, and Anthony Demaio all drop out of the 19-man roster.
The 'Woods face their old rivals the Whipsnakes this week, the same team that has ended their season 3 outta 4 season during the PLL, one of those games was in the 2019 Championship.
The new pieces on defense will have a tough matchup with Williams, Manny, and Rambo with another week of familiarity under their belt.
Which one of the Redwoods defensemen will bump up to play LSM? Owen Grant makes the most sense, but Epple could also take some reps there.

The Whipsnakes are 0-2 for the first time in their team's history and have doubled their loses from last season already.
Jake Bernhardt returns to the Whipsnakes roster this week after missing the first two weeks due to injury, but Brad Smith is still missing.
How will Petey LaSalla fair against TD Irelan? The rookie has shown he's more than up for the work of the PLL.
