PLL Week 9 Player Royale Picks

Week 9 PLL in Denver

Last week I lost both of my matchups, it wasn’t great. Manny at attack, the most important points producer for the team, had -1.0, so that was tough to overcome. Drenner produced 10 points, which wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either. I thought the Redwoods would have improved their defense, but Dhane Smith went out there and put up a 30 piece in the last game of the weekend and that pretty much doomed my fantasy week. Hopefully this weekend I have better luck and get the W.

Also, a lot of important games this weekend in Denver. The battle for the top 7 is coming down to the wire. Plus, the players will be wearing throwback jersey this weekend! This is a cool idea, and I’m excited to see how they look on TV.

A-Jeff Teat (Tier 1) The Atlas play the Waterdogs this weekend and it will be Canadian on Canadian crime *IF* Teat torches Dillon Ward. The Dawgs are in the bottom half in total defense, penalty kill, and goaltending, much of that is because they were without their starting goalie for the first five games.

M- Bryan Costabile (Tier 2) In this spot I should/would pick Justin Anderson, but I try not to have my offensive players go against my goalie, so I picked Costabile. The last two of the last three weeks Costa had more than 20 points I’m hoping that trend continues against the Waterdogs.

D- Jesse Bernhardt (Tier 3) Once again the defense spot is tough, but I picked Bernhardt because he’s a good defender, plus he will always be on the field for the Chrome. There’s a chance that the Chaos turn it up and look like 2021 Championship Chaos.

FO- Joe Nardella (Tier 2) Last week Trevor Baptiste was coming back from injury and didn’t have his best game. This week Nardella is playing against the rookie Justin Inacio and I think he will FEAST on that matchup. Lots of FO wins, plus a bunch of points in transition for the Rutgers alum.

G- Blaze Riorden (Tier 1) This pick doesn’t need justification, if Blaze is healthy, he’s usually a great pick for your man between the pipes. This week the Chaos face the Chrome, who have lost three straight one possession games. The Chaos also got Max Adler back, which means that the defense and Blaze should see a few less shots.
