If you're a lacrosse nerd like myself then you've probably noticed how much the PLL rosters have changed since the teams were originally released back in 2019. If I had written this article before the 2023 season things would have looked a little different, but during the off season lots of original PLL players retired, and a few more found new teams through the second ever off-season of free agency. For the purpose of this article I'm only looking at the original six rosters, sorry Waterdogs and Cannons fans.

Jordan MacIntosh (M, Chrome)
Kyle Hartzell (LSM, Atlas, Redwoods, Cannons)
Brian Phipps (G, Whipsnakes)
Stephen Kelly (FO, Cannons)
Tyler Warner (SSDM, Whipsnakes)

Jack Concannon (G, Atlas)

Of the original roster only Tom Schreiber and Ryan Ambler remain with Archers. The defending champion Archers do however have the same coaching staff, to start season six of the PLL, as they did to start season one. That's pretty impressive from the Archers staff and last season they finally broke through and won their first PLL Championship.
Atlas 2019

Cade Van Raaphorst (D)

For the Atlas, Trevor Baptiste and Eric Law are still running with the Bulls after Tucker Durkin and Jack Concannon's retirements in the 2023 off season. The only other original Bull still on the roster, Jake Richard, left for the Waterdogs of Philly in free agency. The Atlas coaching staff has changed twice since coach John Paul and his staff were at the helm. They do have two original Bulls, Steven Brooks and Kevin Unterstein, on their coaching staff which means not all the Bulls have gone.

The Chaos still have Josh Byrne, Mark Glicini, Jarrod Neumann, Troy Reh, Patrick Resch, and Blaze Riorden from the original 2019 roster. Jack Rowlett their second ever draft pick is still with the Chaos and their first ever pick Johnny Surdick is on the team, but is on the Military List so he could appear this summer for the Chaos. Six originals plus one, equals seven players for the Chaos. They also only made one coaching change, but Andy Towers is still at the helm for Carolina.

Not only has most of the Chrome roster changed, they have changed their name too, in their place stand the Denver Outlaws. Mike Manley is the only original Chrome on the roster, but he does have a 2019 draft pick in Denver with him in the Milk Man aka Connor Farrell.

The Redwoods only have one remaining 2019 player from their original roster and his name is Jack Kelly. Kelly did not play for the Redwoods untill the 2021 season after suffering an injury in 2019 before PLL play started. This last off season hit the Redwoods hard Eddy Glazener and John Sexton retired after the 2023 season, Sergio Perkovic, Garrett Epple and 2019 draft pick Tim Troutner all left in free agency. Coach Nat St. Laurent is still at the helm of the 'Woods, but his assitants have changed. Now, you might be wondering where is the magically Ryder Garnsey on this list, Garnsey was an undrafted free agent in 2019 and missed the first two weeks of the season.
Whipsnakes 2019
2019 Draft Picks

Jake Bernhardt, Kyle Bernlohr, Mike Chanenchuk, Matt Dunn, Tim Muller, Joe Nardella, and Matt Rambo are all original members still with the Whips. This off season hit the Whipsnakes similar to how it hit their original rivals the Redwoods. Mike Ehrhardt and Tyler Warner retired, while Byrce Young was traded away to the Cannons. Brad Smith was the Whips second ever draft pick and he has played a important role for the Whips, but he's not on the 2024 training camp roster becuase he picked up an injury and has placed on the Physically unable to Perform list. The Whipsnakes have brought back Drew Snider, an original member of the 2019 roster, to coach the offense, bit Jim Stagnitta is still at the helm.
